In June, the gardens at The Grange in the Estate Village of Heydon are open ‘by arrangement’. The village is well worth a visit. We recommend arranging a garden visit and combining it will a good look around the village. It’s like time out on a setting for ‘mid summer murders’, without the murders or inspector Barnaby! There is a Quintessential English village feel, a park you can walk through, a pub, a very good village tea room and the historic church. There’s even ‘Rusk’ the bread bakers. It’s worth noting that on a Friday between 5.30pm and 8.30pm Rusk serve wood fired pizza, freshly made and served by the family, simply eat it on the green and take a bottle of something to drink along with you! ┬áSuch a small village, so much going on. It 13 miles from Norwich City.

East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden is a very popular attraction, the brain child of Alan Gray & Graham Robeson, it’s a must for any keen gardener or simply for a meander through a beautifully designed space. It’s open throughout the season, with specific days for NGS.

In June, take a trip to Wymondham (pronounced Win dom) to 127 Norwich Road.
